FALL 2007 LEADER BOARD

12/15/2007
Best way to preserve your fish for a good mount

1. Keep fish from direct contact with other fish, ice or plastic. This will discolor the fish and it will loose its skin
pigment.       Once discolored, it's impossible to bring back its natural color and markings.

2. Wrap fish in newspaper, paper towel or cloth towel. Fish can be placed in plastic bag this way.

3. If possible get the fish to the taxidermist before freezing. If needed to freeze, freeze it flat and straight, and make
sure       not to crunch the fins and tail.
