The "Smell of Winter" is on! Exactly what was needed to get the walleyes into the fall
feeding mode. After these cold fronts move on expect the Cleveland "Night Bite" to
get on the way. Just in time for the Fall Derby. Play Safe and Be Safe!
Friday November 07, 2008:
Thursday 11/06/08 - After 5 skunks in a row went to "Old School". Rip Stick -
Emerald Shiner and Bomber Excalibur 5"/Suspending VannDam Signature Series -
Shad. 30 -40 feet back. 8 hook-up with 3 boated. Plus a 31" Steelhead.
Saturday November 09, 2008:
Friday night 11/07/08. The eyes are more consistent and bigger ones are moving in.
Boated 4 and had a few more hookups. Everything worked 30 back. HJ-14
Blue/Orange, Blue Grass, Glass Clown. Boat rod 20' back Reef Runner Emerald
Shiner went 1 for 3. Winds S-SW-W mild to wild. Waves flat to nasty. Water temp
Thursday November 13, 2008:
Wednesday night fished from 6:30 pm to 12:00 am. Finally got some good fish! Went
11 for 16 with four well over 10 lbs. Too bad this was not Saturday or Derby fishing
for me. Black & Silver cranks, 20' behind the board. 1.5 to 1.8 mph. Water temp 50
degrees, S - SW winds increasing to 15 mph.
Friday November 14, 2008:
Wednesday night, non stop action. No monsters but good numbers. Went 21 for 28.
Sunday November 16, 2008.
Friday night fishing was real good before 11:00pm. Then it died down to a crawl.
After 11:00pm only managed two steelheads and two walleyes. The F-18 did it again!
Thursday November 20, 2008
Wednesday night fished E. 72nd. Murky water 45 degrees. S-SW winds to 20 mph.
Managed three small eyes.
